The Best Toys for Your Pet Rabbit (Chester-Approved)

If you think bunny-proofing your home is tricky, just try finding a toy that actually meets our high bunny standards! There are so many options out there, yet somehow, nothing ever seems quite right. We bunnies? We’re picky. Nevertheless, mental stimulation and physical activity are an absolute must for us to be healthy and happy, so it’s important to find toys that allow us to do what we love most – chew, climb, and hide.

To make your life easier, I’ve made a list of the best Chester-approved bunny toys that are guaranteed to give your fluffy ball a fun time!

The Best Bunny Hidey House: Flexible Wood Hideout

Sure, we love zooming around, but we enjoy chilling, as well (surprise). After all – there’s nothing cozier than hunkering down in a comfy hideout! Since bunnies like me have a natural instinct to seek shelter, a cozy, chewable hidey-hole is a must-have.

One of my favorite toys for this is the Flexible Wood Hideout. Whenever I’m feeling active, I can race through it or jump on top of it, and when I need to take a breather, it’s the best place for an afternoon nap. Bonus points? It’s 100% chewable! (And let’s be real – that’s the most important part.)

The Best Bunny Enrichment Toy: Stacking Cups

Every bunny needs a good interactive toy. To keep my mind sharp, I love to play around with these Stacking Cups. There’s so much you can do with them! Toss them around, knock them down, and even zoom and binky around them when I’m in the mood. If your human is clever, they might even hide a few treats inside! (Trust me, I’ll find them. I always do.)

The Best Toss Rabbit Toy: Oxbow Enriched Life Crunchy Carrot

Carrots. Let’s talk about them. I could eat them all day, every day, but apparently, that’s not a good idea for my tummy. That’s why I’m happy to have this toy carrot, which I can chew on and play with whenever I want. And don’t tell anyone, but it makes for a good cuddle companion…

The Best Digging Toy For Rabbits: Ball Pit

Wild rabbits are known to be quite the diggers. Unless you’re excited about your bunny digging an underground burrow in your garden (or turning your living room into a construction zone), it’s a good idea to offer them something that satisfies the urge.

My favorite is this Ball Pit. I could dig around in it for hours, especially when my owner hides treats inside it! I’m sure your fluffy friend would love this, too. The only rule? Supervision is required, as the balls are not safe to chew.

All-Time Favorite: My People

Toys are great. But you know what’s even better? Humans. After all, they offer so many options for having fun. I can jump on you, dash under your feet, nudge you when I want attention. Plus, it’s entirely free! We bunnies can be shy at first, but the more you play with us, the more we’ll enjoy spending time with you.

Final Thoughts

Despite how it might seem, we bunnies don’t merely sit in a corner and munch on hay all day. We love adventure! Getting us toys that we enjoy playing with is not only important for our overall well-being, but it also helps us bond with you hoomans, too!

And remember – sometimes, a little goes a long way. You don’t have to splurge on new bunny toys every month. Instead, you can make your own! Just get an empty egg box, fill it with hay and a couple of treats, and voila!
